If your solicitor has cost you c.£20k by negligence, what is the best course of action?
there are solicitors who make a practice of sueing other solicitors.

I could get a name for you, but unless you're in Devon, you'll probably find one nearer.

ask at a neutral solicitors (one you dont have a quarrel with) and they should be able to advise you where to go
Reply:Lodge formal complaint with Law Society
Reply:Break his legs!
Reply:Refuse to pay their fees, and seek another solicitor. Then fight their stupid greedy asss in the magistrates court.
Reply:talk to your solicitor, see if he is willing to make some form of compensation against his own insurance, otherwise it is a case of going to another solicitors and suing them, if you can prove negligence and getting on with selling your property
Reply:Get another solicitor to check the 'small print', it may be that they have a clause that lets them get away with it...or leaves them wide open to being sued.
Reply:another solicitor
Reply:Try and reach an agreement with the solicitor and threaten him with reporting him to his professional body. If not successful, contact your local trading standards.
Reply:Claim under their Professional Indemnity insurance.

Or you could try some new curtains and a lick of paint
Reply:Go see a another solicitor.
