I am 7th grader who wants to skip a grade b/c of being overaged. How?

I live in N/carolina. I am 14 but 7th grader. I want to skip this grade in the middle of quarter. Can i do it now? I am not gifted but I got all my courses A. So, is that availavble to skip a grade only by my parent nomination?? that they want too. if my dad talk to principal, can she let me to skip a grade simply?? I am ashamed being with kids. I don't want answers like to not skip--but how to do it? is there anybody who know that some people skip agrade b/c of being overaged? Please!! I am really hurt mentally to be in here. PLease!!!

Your written English is not too good. Your parents can try for you but it is doubtful.
Reply:Ask your parents if you can go through independent study they offer it anywhere...thats how I graduated years ago and my kids now in their 20s graduated the same way...you could get to the level that you want in independent study then go back to your regular school in the grade that you are comfortable...talk to a counselor at school, then talk to your parents after you have the facts, Parents want,need and like facts...Good Luck. Reply:Ok, why are you in 7th grade and 14? Were you retained, or did you start school late, and why? Were you too immature to start school? There has to be a good reason , right? Skipping grades is not all about getting good grades...it is about social maturity as well. Chances are, if one of your teachers have not brought it up, they will really not agree with it. Do you have friends? Do you have social issues? I don't see any harm in your dad speaking with the school, but they don't just hand kids the chance to skip a grade. Good luck...
