My car's battery died, and i replaced it. now the a/c won't work.?

when i drove the car the next time. the a/c button flashes, and when i turned on the air, only HOT air came out. no matter where the temperature dial was. and of course the a/c button has no effect on the hot air.


any suggestions of what is going on?

The only way the two problems are related is the drive belt and if that is on then maby the wire on the a/c clutch was knocked off when batt, was changed
Reply:You could try disconnecting the black negative battery cable again and waiting a minute or so and then reconnecting it. That may reset the computer. Then drive a few miles and see if the problem corrects itself. It may be a coincidence and you have low freon charge in your A/C that is preventing it from coming on.
