How many c-sections?

I will be having my 3rd c-section in August, my first child was breech, the second we planned a VBAC but needed to have a c-section two weeks early, so this one will be scheduled of course. My question is, how many c-sections are considered safe? We were going to have my tubes tied during this c-section but are having second thoughts that maybe we might want one more child several years down the road...is that safe? Obviously I'll talk to my dr about it but I was curious what others have been told :)

How many c-sections?
Thay will have to look once they get in there...My mom was tod no more than 2 but I know others that have had 5 or so...It depends on the scar tissue and the overall integrity of the uterus...They were not meant to be cut into that many times...Some people heal better than others.

You need to discuss what you are feeling with your dr. and not make a decision until after he sees how things look...
Reply:a family member of mine has had 4 sections but i think the doctors told her not to have any more
Reply:Truly depends on the OB most wont go beyond 4 safely.
Reply:To the best of my knowledge, you can have as many c-sections as required. The only thing that I know of that is considered "unsafe" is attempting VBAC after two c-sections because of the risk of uterine rupture during the delivery process.

However, it has been discovered that c-sections do increase your risk of miscarriage. Apparently a c-section causes a certain amount of scaring on the uterus. If the baby happens to implant on or very near the scare tissue, it's much more likely to miscarry.
Reply:well i my self had 4 but it depends on how fast you health
Reply:My sister was told 3 was her limit
Reply:it depends on how much scarring you have. 3 or 4 is the most that most OB's will do.
