you want to try and do your best in any class you have, AP or not.

you said you'd like to go to ANY uc school, so you'll be fine. ucla or uc berk or ucsd might be out of reach if the rest of your grades are C's and your SATs are bad...

you definitely shouldn't have much of a problem with the other ucs though.
Reply:I think a C is fine. GPA wise, it'll count as a B would.
Reply:A C in an AP course is not good, although a B is bareable. In reality, you should do whatever it takes to get an A. A few B's are okay, but if you plan to aim big, you shouldn't be getting C's. I'm currently at UC Berkeley, and most people here didn't get any B's, let alone C's. Don't decide what grade is enough to get you in...just do WHATEVER YOU CAN to get the best grade possible. Life isn't about just getting by, so if you really want this, give it your all.
Reply:I'm at UCB, I took a couple of AP courses as well. It really does not matter if you got a C if your in your Senior year. The UC system looks at your Sophomore and Junior year more than freshman and senior year. Senior year is just looked at to see if your taking a rigorous class schedule. It is important that you do or did well in sophomore and junior year, especially if you want to go to UC Berkeley(3.8 + ELC students, elegebility in local context are most likely to get in) or UCLA. In the end the most important thing is that you pass the AP exam!!Good Luck
Reply:no clue

pick Santa Cruz though, that campus is beautiful
